The Mission
The London Geopolitical Review CIC (CRN: 16642811), founded in 2025, is an independent publication dedicated to understanding and challenging the forces that shape our world.
LGR believes that geopolitics cannot be understood through borders and governments alone. Power operates through institutions, law, economies, history and ideas.
LGR publishes analysis, opinion and commentary through written articles and interviews, allowing readers to critically engage with current affairs. We are interested not only in what is happening, but in why it is happening, whose interests are involved and what it may mean for the future.
LGR’s mission is to create an open-access social science platform for the general public. We believe in fostering the intellectual curiosity and journalistic instincts of the next generation of geopolitical thinkers, who play an important role in shaping the debates that will define the future of international affairs.
Our Desks
London Geopolitical Review brings together researchers, students and practitioners to examine contemporary global affairs through the eyes of the politically silenced. We primarily work with students across the University of London, while welcoming contributors and perspectives from beyond the University. Our work covers campaigns, regional geopolitics, policy analysis and philosophy, with perspectives from across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
Editorial Policy
The London Geopolitical Review values accuracy, fairness and editorial independence. By independence, we mean that our editorial decisions and published content are not directed or controlled by governments, political parties, universities, external organisations, sponsors or other interests outside the editorial process.
LGR is open to publishing opinions and arguments that differ from those of the editorial team. The views expressed in articles and interviews belong to their respective authors and contributors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the London Geopolitical Review, its editorial team or affiliated institutions.
We encourage critical engagement and welcome disagreement where it contributes meaningfully to public debate. Publication by LGR does not constitute endorsement of the views expressed.
LGR does not currently accept unsolicited submissions. Authors wishing to contribute should respond to calls for submissions or contact the editorial team where an appropriate opportunity is advertised.
